Santa, sometimes I write🧍‍♀️.

Santa is arriving in 7 days, so I stole a mutual’s content idea and decided to share with Santa some of my favorite write-ups written in 2023.

DAY 1.

In my POV, the art of music is magic, and I believe the makers of music are magicians.

Picture this,

A rough sound was polished to a smooth sound.
The smooth sound was polished, and it became music.
The music was polished till it became a memory of the days I traveled in a blue Peugeot 404 with windows down while the cool harmattan breeze slapped my face. I am squeezed in between my brother and another family member who keeps dozing off on my shoulder. I have shrugged him off multiple times, but not now. I should be irritated, as I hate discomfort, but I’m too distracted by the sound that has just come on.
My father has changed the Don Moen CD to another melody. It is the melody of Arabanko blasting from the radio.

The music was again polished, and this time I traveled to a room that had once echoed with laughter.

Here, I could hear Tonga and Banjo, the drums producing the kukuke kuke rhythm, the guitar had begun to weep, and the trumpet was wailing.

           Time had paused.

In this room, there was no death, only laughter, joy, hugs, intimacy, laughter, smiles, friendship, love, and peace.
With my eyes closed, I rose with excitement and began to swing my hips and tap my feet to this sacred art of divinity.
